AFTA’s Mission Statement

To ensure that the arts remain an integral part of education for children in Portland Metro-area schools, AFTA raises funding and awareness through the collaborative efforts of artists, businesses, educators, organizations and the community.

AFTA’s Vision Statement

Ensure the arts remain a key and active part of education for kids grades K – 12 in Portland Metro area schools.
Support educators by helping bring their specific ideas for arts education curriculum to life in their own classrooms.
Empower people to be part of the solution with an easy method of engagement to support arts in schools by doing what they already do best.
Build the social capital available to us in our community to create a united fabric of support for arts in schools.
